Voting that began at 8 am this morning continued till 5:30 in the evening. Over 2,500 candidates are in the fray.
Leaders from various political parties have cast their votes during the early hours of voting.
Adequate security arrangements have been made across the city.
Delhi Election Commission has set up over 13,000 polling booths, out of which over 3,000 have been identified as sensitive, while around 1,500 booths are hypersensitive.
Around 57,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure free and fair polls in the national capital.
Also, for the first time in MCD elections, None Of The Above (NOTA) option has been made available. Counting will be held on 26th April.
